Dal Palak Recipe

Dal Palak is very nourishing and full of taste. Kids love it and mothers love it because kids eat Palak without making faces. Everything we get in Dal Palak. Easy to make, Dal Palak is tasty and healthy. Serve Dal Palak with Roti and Rice. Dal Palak recipe is available in Hindi (हिंदी) and English both.

Ingredients for Dal Palak:-

  • Green Gram Dal – 100g
  • Spinach – 50 gm
  • Cumin Seeds – 1 teaspoon
  • Red Chili Powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Water – 500 ml

For Chauka –

  • Pure Ghee – 1 table spoon
  • Asafoetida – ¼ teaspoon
  • Cumin Seed – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red Chili Powder – ½ teaspoon

How to prepare Dal Palak:-

  • Take Dal and soak it for half an hour.
  • Cut Spinach into small pieces.
  • Now take a cooker and put Dal and Spinach in it, pour water and put all spices and close it.
  • Keep it on full gas.
  • After two whistles simmer gas.
  • After 10 minutes close gas and keep it aside.
  • Let it be in steam.
  • When steam is over, open the lid and mix it with a spoon.
  • Take it in serving dish.
  • Now take a Ball Scoop and put it on gas.
  • Pour Pure Ghee in it.
  • When heated put Asafoetida in it, when fried put Cumin Seeds in it and finally Red Chili Powder and pour it in the Dal.
  • Now at once pour it in Dal.
  • This is Chauka for Dal.
  • Your tempting tasty Dal is ready to eat.
  • Serve Dal Palak with Roti and Rice.
