Shakarpara Recipe in English

We love to have light snacks. For this Shakarpara are the best and is also very delicious. Here I have given a very easy method to make Shakarpara at home without any fuss, some easy steps and it is made. Try it and enjoy. Shakarpara recipe is available in Hindi (हिंदी) and English both.

Ingredients of Shakarpara:-

  • Maida – 450 gm
  • Oil – half kadahi for deep fry
  • Desi Ghee/ Pure Ghee – 20 gm
  • Sugar – 200 gm
  • Water – 60 ml

How to prepare Shakarpara:-

  • Take Maida Flour in a big plate and make a hole in between and fill it with Pure Ghee.

  • Now take Maida Flour and mix it well with the ingredients by taking it in your palms and rub it.

  • When it is mixed thoroughly put some water and knead(Goondna) it.

  • Now take a rolling base and a rolling pin.
  • Take a medium size ball of Dough and make it a round with the help of rolling pin on rolling base.

  • Now take a knife and cut it into vertical and horizontal lines.

  • Keep the pieces aside.
Deep fry Shakarpara:-
  • Take a kadahi, fill it half with Oil and keep on high flame for deep fry.
  • When Oil is hot put some pieces in it to fry.

  • Take a Perforated Spoon and do these pieces upside down.
  • When they are reddish take them out on a plate.

  • Repeat this process till you finish your dough.
  • When all dough is finished, remove Oil from your kadahi, keep it on high flame and put Sugar in it.

  • Pour 60 ml of Water in it.

  • Keep it mixing.

  • Let it boil.

  • When sugar is dissolved, wet your index finger and thumb and take a drop of mixture between finger and thumb and give space between two fingers, if 1 thread is visible your ek tar ki chashni is ready.

  • Now put all fried pieces in it and go on mixing it till they all are covered with chashni.

  • after 30 sec you will see white sugar coating on it.

  • your Shakarpara is ready.
  • Spread them on paper to cool.
  • When Shakarpara is cool fill it in a air tight bottle and keep it.
  • Shakarpara are made.
  • You can keep it for a month and enjoy your snack.
